Stolen baby grows up to be young man who goes to work to support himself and his sister; of course he accidentally comes across the person he was stolen from, happy ever after. The villains are quite pathetic, with varying motivations that all add up basically to money. Nothing outstanding. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
"The Cash Boy," by Horatio Alger, Jr., as the name implies, is a story about a boy and for boys. Through some conspiracy, the hero of the story when a baby, was taken from his relatives and given into the care of a kind woman. Not knowing his name, she gave him her husband's name, Frank Fowler. She had one little daughter, Grace, and showing no partiality in the treatment of her children, Frank never suspected that she was not his sister. However, at the death of Mrs. Fowler, all this was related to Frank. The children were left alone in the world. It seemed as though they would have to go to the poorhouse but Frank could not become reconciled to that. A kind neighbor agreed to care for Grace, so Frank decided to start out in the world to make his way. He had many disappointments and hardships, but through his kindness to an old man, his own relatives and right name were revealed to him. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

The book talk about a boy whose name is Frank Fowler who was adopted and find out when his mother told him and she was about to ... And Frank was left with his sister Grace and she stayed with a kind neighbour while Frank was to go and look up for jobs in New York.He face many disappointments and hardships but fortunetly met up with Mr Wharton, who was kind and gave the hero opportunity and jobs. But there were some members that did not like Frank and that lead him to face hardship but he recover and succeed.
In my way,the book has the inspiration and encouragement to
all of us that if you face the world you will succeed at the end,no matter what it brings keep pushing like Frank did.
I rate this book 4:5
The book mostly talk about young boys around fourteen,so I think it for the boys. ( )
