Genre: Informational Medium: gouache and silkscreen This is a book that tells about the sun, stars, and planets, and how they are related to each other. The book used a combination of pictures, and diagrams, to show what the words are describing. This book has some bigger words in it, so it would be difficult for a beginning reader to use. I would definitely use this book with my class to introduce a unit on outer space, or the sun and stars. The book relates the sun and moon to realistic things, like how and why we see the sun and moon, and describes why the moon doesn't always look the same. The book also mentions history, because it describes how people used to think the start constellations meant something. I really like this book for an informational book! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I liked this book because it touched on all of the important vocabulary and introductory topics of space but also leaves more room for inquiry and explanation.
This book is a good starting place for a unit on space. I would read it aloud with my students, create a KWL chart, and then dive into a unit on space. ( )
