Un libro praticamente illeggibile per la quantità di errori di ogni genere che lo costellano.
La Newton non è di certo famosa per la qualità dei suoi prodotti e questo libro ne è l’ennesima dimostrazione.
Traduzione ed editing da dimenticare tanto da arrivare a pensare che, contrariamente a qualsiasi previsione, se si fossero affidati al traduttore di Google il prodotto finale sarebbe stato di certo migliore.
Anche la storia non è un granché, una farsa pure piuttosto ridicola ed esagerata con personaggi chiaramente sopra le righe.
Forse se fosse stato tradotto con cognizione di causa sarebbe stato anche piacevole da leggere, ma così com’è attualmente non mi è piaciuto proprio per niente.
Per rendere solo l’idea del pessimo trattamento subito da testo basti dire che in circa una trentina di righe, alla fine del primo capitolo, sono riusciti a ripetere per ben 15 volte il nome “Lee”, quello di uno dei protagonisti (per non parlare poi di tutto il resto)!
Da dimenticare! ( )

I kind of get why folks are so bananas about Kristen Ashley books. She's got a really authentic authorial voice. However, this book was just not my cup of tea. Almost every move Indy made made me want to scream. She's got people literally gunning after her and she does one shitty, stupid thing after another. It was amusing in a eye-roll kind of way in the beginning, not-quite-as-amusing in the middle, and downright annoying-as-fuck in the end.

I did like that as the relationship progressed, Lee started explaining himself to Indy and it was clear he was making an effort to be an adult about his expectations, but most of the time his behavior was pretty shitty too.

I'll probably read some of the following books in the series, but I won't be going out of my way to get them. ( )

Adult Contemporary Romance Suspense Mystery
This one is listed as Erotica in a few places. It is not Erotic nor Eroitca. Though the main characters are in their late 20's to early 30's, it is more New Adult than it is Adult. Trust me, there is a difference.
There are a couple of minor errors, but nothing that disturbs the flow of the story. There are areas where India thinks about Lee that are repetitive and that does slow down the flow. My other problem with this story is the lack of connection and detail of Lee.
This is the 3rd book by this author I have read and my least favorite of the 3. This one I liked, but I loved the other 2.
This story has humor, mystery, a few steamy romantic scenes and some truly colorful characters. My favorite is a guy named Tex. It is a good story. I think people who like a good romance and New Adult will really enjoy this one.
The other thing to keep in mind is this is one of her 1st books. It was published in 2008. The 2 books I read before this one were published in 2011 and 2012. By reading this one, you can see how her story telling, world build and character development has improved by leaps and bounds.
Will I read the next book in this series? You betcha' I will! ( )

This was nice. I had a little trouble with the hero. He said some things that I just don't approve of in my heroes. For example he kept questioning if she was worth it. IDK but since this is romantic fiction, I want the hero to always be totally convinced he wants the heroine or at least not say anything out loud. She was kind of OTT crazy but you can't quibble at that since that is fairly typical for KA heroines. Liked the set up and of course there are a bunch of crazy but fun secondary characters. I do wish that there was some POV from the guys in this series but it is all so far (3 books in) strictly 1st person POV from the heroine. ( )
