I felt like the answer to the mystery was a bit obvious but there were too many extra steps taken to get to it. Even my kids asked why some things happened that weren't needed. I also felt like the author is using these children and trying to hard to coin words and phrases with their speech patterns to bring out a new Junie B Jones or Ramona and Beezus. This brother and sister combo can be endearing and cute in other books, and they are great on their own as well. This book just missed the mark with me. Stink and his sister, the famous Judy Moody, are on vacation in North Caroline for a few days. The family decides to take a ferry ride. With stinks active imagination it turns into an adventure scavenger hunt on "artichoke Island." This book in the long series of Judy Moody and the series spin offs, this book requires Stink and Judy to get along to find the treasure from the scavenger hunt. This was shown the the key details when they had to put aside their difference and work together. The mad, mad, mad, mad Treasure hunt I chose this book because it looked very fun to read and it would be entertaining. I thought right! Judy moody and stink go on an exciting adventure around “Artichoke” island. They have to walk through the graveyard, Go to the abandoned and they might even see a ghost of blackbeard himself on the way. This book is fantasy and the author is Meghan Mcdonald. I liked the book because it had a lot of good jokes and it teaches people a lesson about sharing. Like when Stink calls Judy “Mad molly O maggot”. I think that you should read this book on your free time not just because it’s fun because your parents will love that you’re reading a good book. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
During a weekend trip to Ocracoke Island, siblings Judy and Stink Moody take part in a pirate treasure-hunting game, in which various clues lead them to silver coins, or "pieces of eight," hidden across the island.

Aarrrg!" --From publisher's description.
