A solid "coulda-been-an-episode" plot with plenty of integration of the series mythos and a real feel that it fits into the series continuity. Martha Wells really excels at making characters feel like real individuals in her original works, and she brings that skill to this as well, with some first-rate handling of the Atlantis characters. There are certain givens for these characters - you expect McKay to be snarky, John to be sarcastic, Teyla to be deadpan - but she goes beyond this to really convey the *rest* of the characterization - the genuine caring and respect that they all have for each other and their overall competence and professionalism. Very enjoyable read. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
While exploring the unused sections of the Ancient city of Atlantis, Major John Sheppard and Dr. Rodney McKay stumble on a recording device that contains a new Stargate address. The address leads them to a world with a mysterious ruined city that may be part of an Ancient repository, or it may just be yet another trap for the unwary.
