This was actually pretty good, I was impressed! It was a lot of fun. I'm actually a little interested in reading the others and the rest of the series, see how it continues ends!

3 out of 5 stars. I finished that book yesterday ... it was good. I did like it but it was not my fave book by P. C. Cast, I was kind of disappointed in how it didn't really break at all from what she normally writes. Which can be a good and bad thing. =0/

I have enjoyed P.C. Cast's book for quite some time, particularly her Goddess Summoning Series. I picked this book up because I noticed it was about the Celts and as soon as I turned to the first page, I was hooked. Cast is a wonderful storyteller and it's apparent just how much hard work and research she put into making this book come alive. The idea of a Soul Seeker and Goddesses as well as Gods being alive was a wonderful concept and found myself wanting to know more about this particular era. It was a story full of love, adventure, time traveling and the realization that sometimes what you're looking for has been within reach all along. I can't wait to read the rest of these novels and other books by this amazing author! This book I highly recommend to anyone looking for some history and a bit of sci-fi with romance thrown in. The third in the sequence about a group of women going back in time to find the pieces of a talisman which will prove that they are worthy of joining the galactic united worlds. This is mostly incidental to this time-travel story, where a woman who is regularly mobbed by ghosts finds herself part of this group, involved with Boudiccia and a goddess who makes her feel welcome and a people who understand her skills and encourage her to develop them.

It did read like some other P C Cast stories, her female characters are self-resilient without being stand-offish and the romance progresses well. I enjoyed the read. ( )
