When she is assigned a new client she finds a musical connection but tradegy is just around the corner. At times I found Maggie to be completely stupid and naive when dealing with her children. Life for Maggie was hard and I hoped all through this book that she would find the positives in her life and I was not disappointed. A moving novel that contains warmth, love, affection and hope. Despite the mainly depressing features of the characters' lives - low pay, disability, lack of stimulation - it becomes a heartening and tender story of friendship - although ultimately tragic there is progress in the main character's life. Beautifully written and unique. Quite difficult to describe as it cannot be characterised by genre. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I found it reminiscent of Deborah Moggach's style of writing. ( )
