I saw this at Barnes and Noble, and thought it would be an interesting read, to learn about some of the haunted locations in and around where I live. The book uses a variety of formats for each "haunted location" chapter. It starts out with a first person narrative, probably pretty close to how the author was told the story from whoever was telling it. After the narrative, the author will give the qualifications and the facts for each story. Some of the stories seem real enough, and plausible, and may actually represent actual hauntings and within "credibility" of haunted locale ghost stories. Other stories border on the silly and unbelievable, and it sounds as if the people telling the story made the story up, and there is little or no corraborating information to back them up other than the person telling the story. The inclusion of some of the more unbelievable stories puts a damper and casts doubt on some of the other stories. He should have tried to stick with places with more of a haunted history and stories and legends that had more of a history and not just one person saying that something happened or that he/she thought they saw something.
