This is the first one-volume Bible commentary edited by ACU faculty. More than 30 contributors from various branches of the Stone-Campbell movement were selected, all of whom hold or are pursuing a doctoral degree in biblical studies. Not a bad commentary, I was just a little disappointed at the lack of depth. Of course, even though it is the size of the phone book, it is still a one-volume commentary and I suppose that I should not expect that. Perhaps it would have been better as a multi-volume set, allowing the contributors to go into more detail. For a one-volume set, it's pretty good and serves as a good introduction on the passages of the bible. ( )
