Magical book, perfect blend of art and story, that tells of 4 brothers who are each tested by an old woman. She is their neighbor who owns a magic feather duster and uses it when they come for dinner. They decide to ask her for it. She agrees, if they can pass her test, which consists of picking the "right apple" off an apple tree. The three oldest brothers ignore a frog that asks them for their apple as they return to the old lady. The youngest brother is moved by compassion and gives his apple to the frog, whereupon the old lady gives him the feather duster, her house, her cats and disappears. ( )
