Review: This book was very cute for young children. It had great illustrations that went along with the book. All of the words were easy to pronounce so it could be a great book for a child who is just beginning to read.

Summary: Curious George had a friend named Steve. They always played games together, and Steve always won. One day Steve took George mini golfing for the first time. George didn't know how to play, but he wanted to win. He hit the ball as many times as he could and thought that golf was easy. At the end of the game Steve read out the scores, and George was so excited that he had the highest score! But Steve broke the news to him that in golf the lowest score wins, so George was very upset. When he got home he went on the roof and created a golf corse of his own so that he could practice. He invited Steve over so that they could play Georges version on mini golf, which of course George won because he knew how to play and Steve didn't.

Argument: This was a very cute book to read. I think children love Curious George books. The book had great illustrations to go along with the text and I loved looking at them.

The overall message of this story was about never giving up. Curious George always tried to win sports against Steve, but he never could. So in every new game that he played he tried his hardest to win. This book also teaches children that winning is not the most important thing. Spending time with friends and playing doesn't always have to be a competition. ( )
