Billy is a boy who does everything right, but his teacher is the opposite; this drove poor Billy crazy. Billy started making a list of all that his teacher did wrong, and what a teacher should do. He soon realizes that while there are plenty of things that his teacher does wrong, there are many things that his teacher does right. He decides that he likes his teacher and does not want to get rid of him anymore. Billy is a major rule-follower and it really irritates him when his teacher does things he's not supposed to do. So Billy decides to make a list of all of his teacher's transgressions and send the lists to some Very important people! On the list? Chewing bubble gum, running in the halls, and falling asleep in a teachers' meeting, to name a few. But when it's time to send the list off, Billy has some doubts. What SHOULD the perfect teacher be like? His own answers surprise him! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I picked this book up, because I have read Andrew Clements chapter books, and found them very easy to relate to. This book was no exception. I really like the turn our story takes, and the storyline of the book. Many children may find it difficult to relate to a new teacher, especially at the beginning of the year. This book would be a great way to introduce the school year and to gauge what children are expecting, versus what they are expected to do.
