This is a cute story that the children will enjoy and love especially if they hear the title superhero school. They'll understand math is very important. This story is about a young boy going to superhero school because he wants to become a superhero with powers. He was sad because math is involved, he only wants to learn about superpowers. Everything goes well with him at school, but there's Ice Zombies that try to attack. The teachers were held hostage, so the kids had to use math to save them. He fought off 5 zombies while his classmates helped him out. The young boy discovers this was apart of a math quiz. ( ) My favorite parts of this book are the formatting and illustrations. The illustrator did a great job reflecting the title of the book. I feel like a student who likes comic books would love this book and be inclined to pick it just based off the illustrations. While listening to this book, I noticed a repeating sentence structure. I like it in this case because it helps keep the super hero theme going. I'd love to read this to a younger audience because they often question why they have to go to school and don't understand why they have to learn certain things. This book can show them all the things they could be able to do if they learned all the math skills to use their powers efficiently. A boy thinks he is going to learn superhero tricks since he is sent to superhero school. He becomes upset and confused when they are taught different math skills. Those skills become tested when their teachers become kidnapped and they are forced to try to save them. This book does a good job letting students know the importance of math and also by including great drawings that will catch their attention. This was a very interesting book about math and superheroes. Leonard is a kid who has special superpowers and he is starting at a new school, Superhero school. At his new school he meets his new teacher, Mr. Tornado, Leonard learns that instead of learning how to jump tall buildings he will be doing math problems. Leonard was not very happy at first. I love how the book shows readers that math is important in a fun way. The book does not show how to teach math but shows the importance in math. I also love how the numbers are in bold in the book, which is another way the author showed the importance of math and the numbers. This would be a fun book to read to students during a math lesson to show that even superheroes need math. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
