Useful as a reference; the website (http://www.newgreenbasics.com/) contains most of the information collected here as well. ( ) This is a great book. Very important issues like saving water, energy, reducing waste ect. It’s easy to read and easy to do what Kate Heyhoe recommends. Environmental problems are not solved with high tech gadgets. Except of Induction burners and electric kettles. Mostly reducing and re think the everyday things we do not only in the kitchen. I didn`t need the recipes at the end. (I don`t like it when a book doesn`t stay open during cooking.) You have to start in your own home a make a change. I would highly recommend it. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Choosing local, organic foods benefits your health and the planet's. But how you cook is as important as what you cook: cooking itself is an under-reported yet substantial greenhouse gas creator. Now, Kate Heyhoe shows you how to think like an environmentalist in the kitchen. Without changing your politics or completely disrupting your routine, you can reduce your impact on the planet by rethinking how you cook, shop, and consume food. Using your favorite recipes, you can bake, broil, and grill in greener ways, saving fossil fuels and shrinking your "cookprint." No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
