The band of survivors are becoming 'more' through the powers of Phoenix. Death stands tall awaiting their efforts to save Mankind. McBride has laid out his visionary horror tale for all to see and there is entertainment to be had reading it. The horror is real and visceral. The landscape is well defined and creates a strong image of our post-apocalyptic world. The God's End trilogy is almost a movie script with the build up of the heroes and the nemesis and his minions. The downfall of McBride's work is that the narrative is frequently redundant, with a myriad of chapters that serve only as a reminder of what is occurring. The entire trilogy could be condensed in to one large and great volume, however the cash cow moos. Overall, Trail of Blood is a great vision, let down in the execution, however it'll keep you glued until the final page. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Everything changed the day Phoenix and his friends defended their camp against War and his legions in the Blizzard of Souls. The human survivors now number fewer than a dozen, but something keeps them fighting, and they live on.Phoenix can feel himself becoming something different; rage has destroyed the once innocent boy he had been. He's being called to the last battle, which will determine the fate of the planet once and for all. The survivors will take on Death himself, and only time will tell whether or not they have a hope of succeeding. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
