The first reason is because I love Halloween. It has always been my most favorable Holiday. I also enjoyed this book because the poems that are in the book are from different poets. Therefore, it gave me a picture of how certain poets differ from other poets. I got to see the different voices and techniques each poet uses. For instance the two poems , the Halloween ghost story and Night song have completely different styles but they're both successful. I would definitely read poems from this book during the month of October. ( ) “Ragged Shadows,” was a very cute book for Halloween. The voice of the book is narrative through a little girl. The book takes the readers through the little girls Halloween night as she goes trick or treating with her friends. I enjoyed this book because the little girl is talking like she doesn't know that it is her friends. The authors that wrote for the collection of poems use the elements to the max. It makes the story feel so real and if I didn't have illustrations with the pictures I could have easily made the scenes in my head. The authors use many onomatopoeias, similes, end rhymes, alliteration, and much more. The book is a fun read and wonderful to read to my future classes around Halloween time. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
