It takes quite a lot of courage for the heroine to request the help of the hero, considering the fact that he left her standing at the altar. But when she purchases a house haunted by a disturbing number of ghosts and things that go bump in the night, she knows it’s something she can’t handle on her own. The hero, a scatterbrained, comically lost in his own head man whose forgetful tendencies caused him to miss his own wedding and lose the love of his life. But now, he’s found a way be be with her again, if only professionally but it still gives him a chance to make things right. The sexual tension laced throughout the book from start to finish was completely engaging. The heroine is posed, elegant and a no nonsense kind of gal. And she’s still so hurt, even after all these years and struggles everyday of their investigation to protect her heart from falling back into love with the man who’s only destined to break it. The hero, truly unable to get out of his own head but really trying to make things right and attempting to capture proof of the paranormal. ( )
