Each successive chapter begins with a case study of a person who life is in opposition to the rule and one whose life illustrates the rule. This is a very sight introduction to Greek philosophy dealing with the usual constructs of kindness, friendship, self-mastery and other shop warn self-help bromides. The authors seem to capitalizing of the recent interest in how philosophy can help use to live a better more informed and authentic life. While this book might provide something of an introduction for those not at all familiar with Greek philosophy, it altogether to slight for the serious reader. ( )
