Very interesting within its limits. He is much more interested in architectural detail than historical detail, though there is some of the latter. All the photos are recent (there are a couple of older drawings in the first, historical, section), but he resolutely makes no mention of the current fate or use of any of the buildings.
A map showing the location of the buildings he describes would have been useful.
He covers the whole range from grand public buildings to humble dwellings. ( )
