In my view, I would have to say that Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is one of the best books that I have read. It is also my favourite one in the series. The others like the order of the pheonix and half blood prince were far too detailed for my liking. The best part about the Chamber of Secrets is the adventerous story line that literally takes you to a place in Hogwarts that you would not have known about in previous books. it also ahs a nice twist near the end where Tom Riddle exclaims that he is Lord Voldemort. All of this included with comical relief from Ron and the bitter rivalry between Harry and Malfoy all adds up to be an amazing read. I guess some parts of the novel were very graphic and quite thrilling to me when I first read it like the spiders and the snake, but then J.K. Rowling added these mythical creatures in to add more intense visions and to ultimately keep the reader captivated throughout the whole book. All in all a great secound book to the series and I can't wait to watch the last two movies of the series.
