Great for children who want to know more about how we get apples and how the trees grow. Also great connection for kids to have if they are an only child and make up their own fun activities by themselves. Ages 4-7 Pierce County Library

This book includes a couple different subjects that can be used in learning themes for young children. The character Arnold, enjoys his special place, his apple tree. Each season brings a new and creative way to enjoy the tree. From the changes is leaves, to the purpose he uses the tree for such as building the tree house, to using his senses to enjoy the tree. The smell of the blossoms, and the tastes of the apples. He even uses the fruits to juggle and paint on for Halloween. Shows how even if you are by yourself you can be creative and enjoy the seasons.

Arnold looks after his apple tree, taking care of it during the seasons as the apples begin to grow throughout the seasons, and Arnold and his family make all kinds of treats from the tree. During the winter, he puts our strings of popcorn for the birds to eat and waits for spring to come again so he can do it all over again.
