It had an amazing opening, and was able to seamlessly switch between the exciting and the mundane in a heartbeat. There's a lot of mystery, but not so much that you couldn't tell what was going on. The characters are also incredibly well-written, and there are occasional conversations and quotes that really make you question your presumptions in a good and God-focused way. Not to mention the cliffhanger ending. All things considered, I'd give this book a 9/10. Give me book 2, please! Dakota S. This series is geared toward teenagers, but I really enjoyed it. I read it in a little over a day and can’t wait to read the sequel. The story is captivating, interesting, intense, and was hard to put down. I liked the characters and the intrigue is really holding my attention and I want to know what is going on. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

High school student Charlie West awakens bloody and bruised in a concrete bunker, only to discover that he has lost a year of his life and remembers nothing about escaping from prison after being convicted of murdering his former best friend, or why he is being pursued by both the law and a group of terrorists trying to bring down the government of the United States. I read it on Hoopla so the formatting was off so I'll hold off on a full review until I get a physical copy... If I can ever find one I can have since I can't get a new copy... We'll see! ( )
