There's a lot going on in this book despite, or perhaps because of, the scarcity of text. I love books like this that are not quite wordless, but allow the storyteller to embroider on the words that are there. Alborough manages to teach about difficult concepts, like "opposite" and "relative" conveying meaning through bright, bold graphics and just the right number of words. ( ) This book is about a little monkey who starts to conceptualize his size in relation to other jungle animals and objects. The illustrations are detailed. The book rhymes and has one word per page, that ends with "-all". This is a good fantasy because it features characters who are animals. Media: gouache and marker pen Age Range: early elementary This (practically) wordless book is about a chimp that thinks he is "small" compared to the rest of the animals. The other animals lift him up to help him be "tall." When he falls, he realizes that he is the perfect size for him. The Illustrations are soft and colorful. It also includes a height chart. I would use this in lessons about being unique and being yourself, and how being you is perfect. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
