This book was about two boys who played a prank on their town. They took a piece of wood and turned it into some kind of monster. Then took it around town and made the monster pop up where people saw it but did not see the boys. they took it as far into some woods where they climbed up a tree. The people found them and thought it was great so they paraded them around town with their monster.

This book was kind of cute. I think it maybe a little to boring for little kids and they wouldn't know what all the illistrations were supposse to mean. I like the black and white with the one random color of green.

A good time to bring out this book would be on April fool's day. ( )

This is a picture book that has no words in it. The book does have an easy story to follow but can be told in many different ways. The story is about these two boys who decide to build a monster and scare a man they do a really good job at it. They use their imagination and determination and it works. I do think that it is a great April fool’s joke. I would use this book with a class to show determination and a good joke. We might even try to build something like the monster as a project.
