This is basically toddler book goofery with all the ark animals cooped up and doing sulky things that start with the same letters as their names, building up to Noah's kicker line "We're all in the same boat!" which turns their heads and makes them do making-the-most-of-it same-letter things instead, which really makes little sense either as a joke or an observation in its discursive context. Like, yeah, you're all in the same boat, and everyone's mad about it. Yeah. ( ) Like "The Annoying ABCs" Shapiro uses unusual adjectives to describe the attitude of the animals stuck together in the ark. Livid llamas are unusual things to see. The art work is nice, but I didn't love it. It was very cartoonish, which is usually good, but there is something about it I don't love, I can't even put my finger on what it is. This is another example of a great book for expanding the vocabulary of the students. The illustrations were adorable, each character had a certain atmosphere about them and we could definitely tell their personalities just by looking at their expressions. The story introduces the idea of Noah and the Ark in a sillier way, explaining the long period of time in which the animals had to stay on that boat. Each animal is brought up with an emotion that starts with the same letter as the animal. This book also introduces readers to the different sounds of a letter, soft and hard: for example, "the Giraffes were Grumpy." Also, the animals in the story were easy to relate to, as they did what we liked to do for past times and they loved wearing fun clothes. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

After being on the ark for months and months, the ants get antsy, the bees bored, and the llamas livid, and Noah must find a way to make everyone get along. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
