אוסף של מה שהתחיל ככתבות עיתונאיות על הצוות בברקלי שעוסק בארטיפישל אינטליג'נס בברקלי. הגיבור הכמעט ראשי הוא יגאל ארנס, הבן של מישה שעבר ממתמטיקה לבינה מלאכותית. מעניין - אבל קצת מאכזב מבחינת כמה אינטליגנציה,מלאכותית ואנושית יש בעסק הזה. ( )

This book is a journalistic account of an AI research group trying to build an AI in Berkeley in the early 1980s, including their personal lives. There are some interviews with famous persons such as Roger Schank and John Searle. There is an interesting chapter about Searle and his Chinese Room argument and what is wrong with it. Still worth reading, for those who like to read history of AI. ( )
