This book can be used for students first learning to tell time. The antique clock, alarm clock, and wristwatches are first displayed in this book. The importance of the little hand and the big hand are talked about. There are 60 minutes in an hour. A stopwatch is used to tell how many seconds have passed which is good to measure time in a race. The book also talks about how sundials were used to tell time before clocks were made. Season's divide the year into four parts, there are 12 months in a year, seasons are reversed on the southern half of the Earth and when it is daytime in one part of the world it is nighttime on the other.. Yesterday, today, tomorrow, once, then, and now are all terms used to tell time. Time can be measured in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, Seasons, years, and generation. I think this is a great book to use in both a math and science classes to introduce time and seasons. ( )

All about time is a really engaging book for students to read when learning about time. This book introduces time on an antique clock , alarm clock , and a wristwatch. Not only is this book about time but it introduces time in many different aspects such as how to tell time during different seasons and how people told time before there were actual clocks. I would definitely read this book to my second grade class , it is a kids friendly book that would help them understand time. ( )

This is a great beginning for students to read when learning about time. It is an interactive book with transparent pages. The book shows the different types of clocks used. It explains how time works and the different lengths of times and when those are used. The book also incorporates science because it talks about time in the seasons, the phases of the moon, and the different parts of the world being at different times. I enjoyed reading this book. I struggled with time as a children and I think this could help children understand time. ( )

A very good book about time. Verdet, Bour-Chollet, and Moignot help children understand the concept of time through different types of cultures. When it is daytime in once culture, it is dark in another. This technique keeps the reader interested. All About Time is one of my all-time favorites because of the really neat page-binding. Some of them are clear and others, vinyl. It just really excites the reader. A perfect math book for children in grades Kindergarten through second grade. ( )
