This is such a cute picture book. I loved how the author Jonathan London allowed us to see the fun of playing in the rain through children's eyes. The vibrant pictures allowed us to see nature's beauty after the rain. I felt like I was playing in puddles after the rain while reading this book. ( )

Great book for visualizing with descriptive text. Children will be able create their own picture of what is happening by using their inferences of rainy days. ( )

All through the night a brother and sister listened to the howling thunderstorm outside. For good reasons, they wished it was over but not over at the same time because they know in the morning there will be plenty of puddles. When they left the house the next morning they had a wonderful adventure from following baby rivers, squishing in mud, watching worms explore the muck, playing leap frog, and jumping in a lot of puddles! Their mother told them not to get wet, but they could just not contain their excitement. They went home took a warm bath, drank hot chocolate only to repeat the process all over again! ( )
