A beautifully illustrated picture book with plenty of detail to fascinate the younger child while you read the text. Kay has caught an autumn leaf and is having a marvellous, magical time as the golden leaf grants her wishes but everyone is too busy to listen to her - everyone except one. http://www.leemac.freeserve.co.uk/kiddies.htm#yes sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Kay finds a magic leaf, but everyone in her family---mother, father, brothers and sisters---is too busy with their own work or play to listen to her, as they "kindly" tell her.
The story has a lot of repetition---a good thing. Finally, SPOILER, Kay shows her grandmother the leaf and not only does she listen, but she knows that it is magic because, when she was young, she had found a magic leaf and no one listened to her either.
While this is a story that makes a grandmother feel superior, it doesn't promote good relationships between grandmothers and their children's families. ( )
