The boys use their imagination to take secret shortcuts to school so they're not late. But more often than not, they end up in worse shape than when they left home. Great illustrations by Mark Teague show the antics of the kids as they travel through their secret shortcut! A book that will have you laughing as you watch the boys try to talk their way out of trouble with the principal. ( ) Genre: Fantasy Summary: Wendell and Floyd are often late to school, and make outrageous excuses for why. Finally, their teacher has enough and gives them an ultimatum. Desperate to be on time, they decide to take a shortcut over a fence that they feel will help them make it to school on time. Instead, they end up fighting their way through a jungle infested with crocodiles, danger, and adventure. Media: Acryllic The two main characters in this book are always late for school because something ALWAYS comes up. If it's not aliens, it's pirates. Or frogs! So they decide to leave super early and take a shortcut... that leads them through a jungle... and into a swamp... oh dear. It's really funny as you read it, and the nieces get a kick out of seeing them swinging through vines and (in the epilogue) scrambling over rocks. Definitely check this one out. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
