My daughter liked this story, often asking me to read it out loud. I didn't really enjoy it though. ( )

mrs. toggle loves her blue shoes but as she is playing kickball, she ends up loosing a shoe in the tree. she ends up asking everyone help and they are able to get her shoe out of the tree.

This realistic fiction might be a little silly, but the students can easily identify with what is occuring in the story. The illustrations in this book really help to move the story along as the reader can see all of the silly attempts that are being made to help get the shoe out of the tree. The pictures just add to the humor of the whole story. ( )
