Reggie McLeod was just out for a stroll, feeling very dapper indeed, in his new "squeezle skin" hat, when suddenly the wind picked up. Well, of course, with Reggie's luck, his new hat was picked up with it! A desperate Reggie sets off to reobtain ownership of the hat and goes to great lengths to track it down. He rents an airplane, goes on television, and scours high and low looking for any sign of his beloved headpiece. Meanwhile, across town at the Edge of Nowhere, a Trollusk was just minding his own business making a pot of tango soup for lunch. Well, would you believe it? The wind dumped a squeezle skin hat right into his pot of soup. Being an honest Trollusk, he took heed of the name inside the hat and set off to try to find its' rightful owner. What follows are the misadventures of both of these characters as they try to find each other and how they eventually come together when they were least looking for it. They not only come away with new hats (for each!) but also with a new friend. The illustrations are wonderfully detailed and so comedic. You can pore over each page looking for all of the detail and take in the fun of the world of Mercer Mayer. A man's hat has disappeared and he can't find it anywhere. The trollusk, however, has found it, and when he returns it, he becomes good friends with the man. This book is funny not in the main story, but in the illustrations -both the reactions to the trollusk and the little printed words on things are very amusing. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
