( ) This book has the Illustrator's favorites of Aesop's fables. The stories are short and have a sentence towards the end about the moral. I personally enjoy the story of the goose that lays golden eggs and how in her master's greediness he kills her. The moral of the whole story is that those who want everything may end up with nothing. This book could be useful in demonstrating moral lessons in the classroom. Maybe if the kids seem to be struggling with gratefulness I would read the story about the dog who always took the best of everything. One day he was walking on a bridge with his bone and saw his reflection in the water. He wanted the bone that was in the water so he went to grab it but instead lost his own bone. His greediness made him ungrateful for what he already had. This book could also be good in upper grades such as 4-7. I would use it while studying ancient Greece and read them some examples of Greek Literature during that time period. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
