Contains one hoax story that was written by August Derleth that was published in Weird Tales as by LeFanu. ( ) This review is of THIS EDITION ONLY, IT'S NOT A REVIEW OF THE STORY CONTENT! I assumed from the title that this would be all 3 volumes of Le Fanu's Purcell Papers. Was I wrong to assume such? Apparently so! I read the first story about Jim Sulivan, (that's how it was spelled back then, I guess), and I went happily off to discuss it with my fellow buddy readers. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be the first story in the third volume. I tried to search for the first story in the first volume and found no linked TOC, and in fact, NO TOC at all. This makes it difficult for me to locate the story I'm supposed to be reading with my friends. I am now forced to go find another volume online, which is no big deal, but I wanted to alert others to this issue. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

HTML: The Purcell Papers is a comprehensive collection of Sheridan Le Fanu's early short stories, and they reflect his interest in Irish folklore, as well as his burgeoning fascination with the supernatural. Some of the tales have a charming, humorous tone, while others are characterized by the spine-chilling twists and turns that would later launch Le Fanu to the top of the gothic horror genre. .No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
