It is impossible to review the books individually as the Mamur Zapt series is one long recounting of adventures and personal vignettes in a time period long gone and far away. Egypt during the british "occupation" (since that is what it really was, invited or not) and in the very early 1900s. Pearce has a gentle feel for the people of the country as well as for the British, and he writes with a humor and kindness for people in the circumstances they find themselves caught up in. I heartily recommend the entire series. In fact within my library are three different series written by Michael Pearce, all of which I heartily recommend. :) ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
