I really enjoyed this book not only because I was a huge Junie B. Jones fan as a child but it has two books in one. The first book about finally being in first grade I love. I feel like kids can relate to this book so much since we have all been through the first day of first grade. One part that I enjoy about this book is that there are journal entries through the book talking about things that she has been doing. One of the entries she talks about getting glasses and the first day she wore them to school. I can relate to this because I remember the first time I got glasses and how I did not want to wear them or have anyone see them. Another thing that I liked was she showed her glasses at show and tell. At first everyone was making fun of her fir them but at the end there was a boy in the class that liked her glasses which made her feel better.
The next book was about loosing a tooth which I know everyone has lost them. I liked how there were simple illustrations throughout the book that added to the text. I also liked that at the end she wrote in her journal liked she did in the first book which brings the two stories together. The moral of the story is to not care about what others think or say but to do what you think is right. ( )
