These are lovingly drawn sketches of little nobodies who have been deeply affected by loss during World War 1. When there is just dialog, Barrie resorts to the shorthand of script writing, but reverts back to prose when he wants to reveal more than can be heard. His writing is completely charming. I pity those who think they've read him, but actually only "know" the story of Peter Pan. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

HTML: Though today he is best remembered for his work for younger audiences, including the beloved classic Peter Pan, J. M. Barrie was a writer of remarkable breadth and versatility who didn't shy away from tough subjects. This volume of plays showcases an array of British families and their very different methods of coping with the aftermath of World War I. .No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
