This book is full of fairytales such as "Sleeping Beauty," "Little Red Riding Hood," and "Cinderella." It would be great for a teacher to have since it contains several stories in one. All of the stories I were already familiar with were told in the same way. ( ) The itself had several stories from old but the one I did read was of Cinderella. The story told is of a girl who is an only child whose father marries a woman with two other children whom are her daughters. They live in a kingdom where a prince is to choose a maiden for a bride. By magical means by her Godmother she is transformed which leads to eventual marriage to the prince and lives happily ever after I love this story too. But the version again is a litte off from what I grew up knowing. For one, the father is alive and there was one ball not two. The other thing that was off was the ending where Cinderella allows her stepsisters live with her in the palace. My version I grew up with I guess is told from Grimms I think, if I can remember right. And also from the Disney animated version as well. I think this would be a great way to show kids how fairy tales are not reality and discuss the difference between real and fantasy. I also think it wold be great to let them write a version of their own. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
