Alice, Pamela, Elizabeth and Gwen have gotten volunteer jobs for three weeks of the summer as assistant camp counselors at a summer camp for underprivileged children. The kids are all needy in different ways. We meet a handful of new characters at the summer camp, the girls explore their budding sexuality a little further, and it's a nice change of pace - moving the setting for the bulk of the book to a summer camp, and removing some of the other regular characters from the picture for a while. ( ![]() In Patiently Alice, Alice has finished 9th grade. She and her best friends Gwen, Pamela, and Elizabeth have decided to go work as assistant camp counselors at Camp Overlook which is for disadvantaged kids. Alice wants to make her cabin seem like one big happy family but she also wants to have fun. Alice runs into a lot of trouble trying to make her cabin one big happy family with Gwen. In the end the girls all notice that a lot of things have changed when you go get away from home and work as assistant counselors at a camp for disadvantaged kids. What made this book great is that, it makes me feel like I’m Alice and that Lester is my brother and that her Dad is my Dad. I feel like I go to her school and I’m her in 9th grade and Patrick is my Ex boy friend and Pamela,Elizabeth and Gwen are my best friends and so on. I like how it is about how a teenager, a girl about her life in a book about how she goes through all these makeups and breakups and hard times and things that change her life. The message of this book is “Life goes by fast, try to make the best of it.” Someone who loves to read about teen adventures and about there makeups and breakups and about there crazy time in their life. I recommend this book to people who like books like this. i LOVED the alice books growing up! i definitely recommend them to all girls around 9-10 and up, and the good news is that she's still writing them! so the series starts out when alice is in elementary school and now she's in high school! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
