This is a collection of Anderson short stories introduced by one of his typically passionate arguments for reviving the US space program. The stories are very loosely linked by the theme of space exploration, and they are also, as he points out, in some sense or another love stories. Some are fairy conventional human interactions,but others are not. One involves humans returning to an earth where humansare gone but machines have evolved to about a caveman level. ( )
