Arthur Miller was a child of his time in which his plays often reflected his deep passion for expressing his own views of what he believed to be injustices whether rightly or wrongly. In this volume, “The Crucible” his most memorable work as a parable against McCarthyism in the 1950s. Another notable play “Death of a Salesman,” is contained here along with other plays he wrote in the 1940s and 1950s. ( )
