Strangers and Brothers (11 novel series in a 3 volume omnibus) - earlier individual novels amended, renamed and resequenced by author for this complete edition

Please note that "Strangers and Brothers" was the original published title of the first written and published second novel ("George Passant") in this series. C.P. Snow changed the title of the second novel when he significantly reworked and resequenced all of the extant novels to produce the first omnibus edition of the complete 11 novel sequence in 1972. In his preface to the first omnibus edition Snow states that it contains the text of the novels which he would now "like to be read" - thus his many amendments to, and resequencing of, the novels represent Snow's definitive version of them. The title "Strangers and Brothers" has also sometimes been given to partial collections of this 11 novel sequence (such as the first three novels in the series). Please do NOT combine works that are individual or partial collections with this complete sequence work.
