This story is about a boy who gets a rocking horse for Christmas from his parents. Every night he dreams of riding the rocking horse through the night air. One night he gets very sick and eh climbs on the rocking horse and rides on her back through a storm and she saves his life. The boy thinks of the horse as his guardian angel and so he names her Angel. I thought this was a sweet story and might be something children in lower elementary grades would enjoy. A boy peeks in the attic and finds a rocking horse. Him and the rocking horse go on many adventures together. One day the boy gets sick and his parents give him the rocking horse from the attic; he suddenly gets better. The boy also admits to his parents he saw the rocking horse in the attic before. www.mercermayer.com The Rocking Horse Angel, by Mercer Mayer, is about a little boy who finds a rocking horse in his attic.
