I sat through rehearsals and performances of this; I read it; I designed the lighting--but I remember nothing about it. Other than that I had to light a few night scenes. ( ) i saw the movie and it wasn't clear to me what olivia was up to. so i read the play which differed in many ways from the movie. in the movie olivia is rosalind russel wearing glasses and boring clothes but still quite a dish, the boy, dan seemed boyish and no match for her, the movie talked of the aunt changing her will to put olivia out and dan in so olivia was under time pressure but not in the play, in the movie olivia's boyfriend was definitely her fiance and a lawyer, in the play her suitor was very boring. so i'm still not clear what olivia was up to. trying to give dan the opportunity to kill her aunt but still be caught? trying to run off with dan? sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

DAN: Yes.... Clears the brain no end.... Makes you understand better.... (His voice growing in vehemence) Makes you see what a damn silly thing it is to get the wind up about anything. Do things! Get a move on! Show 'em what you're made of! Get a move on!... Fainting, indeed.... Proper girl's trick, I'm ashamed of myself.... ( Looking round, quietly) The light's going.... The daytime's as if it's never been; it's dead.... (Seeing the others stare, with a laugh) Daft, isn't it? No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
