One night,the party was held.
It was rainy and stormy.
One man knocked the door of the house.
They asked them to give some food and drink.
And...

This book consisted by 3 sections.
I think cover of this book is funny.
This story is more interesting than I had expected. ( )

This book contain three stories and the first story is "the three strangers". One day,Shepherd Fennel is held a party for their new baby. When they were enjoying the party, first stranger came. He was very wetty because of rain. Fennel welcame him,but after a while second stranger came his house. Fennel also welcame him and strange to say,the first stranger seemed to knew him. And after a while, they heard third knock at the door...

I couldn't understand well why the first stranger knew the second stranger. This story's end is mysterious and unexpected,so I couldn't gess. I was surprised that Fennel allow the strangers enter their house easily. If I were him, I even hesitate to allow the first stranger come in. ( )

A stranger knocks at a shepherd's cottage on one of the coldest and wettest winter. He is welcomed to invited. But he wasn't only a visitor. Three people knock at the door. They are different charactors, situations. But they all have same feelings.

This book has three short stories. And this book is boring for me. I culdn't understand full of story. ( )

First of all,I looked at the cover of this book.Actually this cover is really simple picture, but kind of mysterious. Then I got interest in this book. The story is in the party at the shepherd's cottage. It was a stormy winter night.Suddenly a stranger comes to the cottage.Soon after that another stranger comes.they are very mysterious people. However the most important person is the next man... I really enjoyed this story. there is a clear ending. And also this story is a little bit tricky I thought. It's like a true story but it's not . Of course I recommend this book. Also other stories written by this novelist are interesting. ( )

While Shepherd Fennel holds a party to celebrate their new baby, three mans visit there.
The first stranger is tall, thinman, and the second stranger is full, with graying hair.
And then the third stranger came in the house, but the moment he saw something, heran away outside...
Why did he ran away, and what did he see?

I read mystery stories in English for the first time.
I thought if the setting of their story is in Japan, people wouldn't easily permit the three people entering their house because they are strangers.
You will be suprised at the end,but I think a mystery story is difficult to understand the twist of a story in English. ( )
