The Story of Muhammad Ali, by Leslie Garrett, was a forty page biography about a once amazing boxer. I personally learned a lot about Ali from this book and it to be very informative. I enjoyed this book and its big picture was to educate children, not only about Ali, but what he stood for. One aspect of this book I really enjoyed was the writing. The writing was rich with large vocabulary words, and challenging sentences. One thing I noticed was the word choice, and how it felt like a upper level reader. Another aspect of the book I enjoyed was the illustrations. Being a boxer Ali had tons of fights, over 60 of them, and the book was full of images of fights, awards, family, friends, and other important parts of his life. The last part of the book I enjoyed was the push topic of religion that was discussed in the book. Ali was a Muslim, and this had a huge effect on his life in the United States, which the book discusses. I found this very interesting and a fun read. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
