The problem wikth this first edition of Mr. Grey's is that it is terribly dfated. Find me a modern (2011) girl of, say, 16 who will fall in love with a boy and stay in love with him without the two touching each other. better yet, find me a modern girl who can keep the secret that she loves a boy for months, yea, years. I am of Zane Grey's time more than I am of this time, whih I=is why I enjoy his writing so much. He wrote romance without the hormones. (

Simplistic plot, but worth reading for the portrayal of life and political issues in Pacific Northwest around the time of WWI. Grey presents the homeland battle to support the war amidst northwestern labor movements and immigrants from Germany. (
