( ) Jon Scieska, Trucktown: Melvin Might?, NY: Simon and Schuster, 2008 Melvin the cement truck worries about everything, from getting dirty to getting stuck on the road. He worries so much that he makes others worried. Melvin becomes increasingly concerned when he looks from a hilltop and sees an unfinished bridge over a deep pit. His friends, however, all speed down the hill and jump over the pit for fun. Unfortunately, his friend Rita doesn't make it and ends up trapped - and without hesitation Melvin jumps in, fills the pit with cement effectively pushing himself and Rita out of the pit. This book is a great read-aloud for children ages 5-9 and the illustrations are vividly drawn with each vehicle having their own unique character. The drawings give a strong sense of depth and action, and the text to image relationship allows the reader to focus on the plot of the story. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
