Fun with numbers is about the history of math all over the world. It's all about how different number systems came to be from around the world. This book makes you think where would we be without numbers. Ancient Egyptians would draw pictures to represent numbers, for example a vertical line meant 1. ( )

Very interesting that combine both math and history. It talks about the evolution of math in a very entertaining and engaging way. Also it mentions the civilization that came before us and their part of the evolution of math. It will be a great book both in a math class and social studies. ( )

Fun With Numbers takes readers on a historical math journey. Numbers are apart of everyday life and we would essentially be lost if we didn't have them. This book gives a little bit of history on how numbers evolved from different parts of the world. Number systems vary according to time and place and some numbers may have special importance to many people. Author Les Massin educates readers by digging deep into history and showing how unique numbers are and how they were used in different cultures and in different ways. The illustrations were bold and vibrant, and they easily guided me through the history of the text. ( )

This is a really interesting book. This gives not only a math lesson, but history as well. I learned a lot of things I never knew before now. I love the aspect of this book. Although, I do not think children will really enjoy this book. ( )

This book is about all different ways you can see numbers. This is a good book for children because it will help them become more familiar with their numbers and what they look like. ( )
