This fun book follows the adventure of farm animals baking a Strawberry Shortcake. As they attempt to bake the cake there are many mishaps and funny moments. Children of all ages would find this book fun and enjoyable to listen too. This book could be used to teach about literary devices including Hyperbole. This book would be good for classrooms of all ages. ( ) This book is a cute book to read to children, and very informational. I think this book is best read at home, because it has so much information about cooking and even gives the recipe to the strawberry shortcake. This is an awesome way for parents and children to bond by not only reading but afterwards, being able to cook just like the big brown rooster. No other farm animals wanted to help the Rooster cook, except the turtle, iguana, and the pig. It is also about friendship and teamwork. Together the four worked as a team and were able to bake the strawberry shortcake. I absolutely love the side notes that Stevens and Crummel left on side of the pages. While reading the book, teachers or parents can read the side notes explaining what some words mean, for example, measure, ingredients, and little side notes about cooking. I think this was a really good book, and a great book for parents to read with their children at home. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
